Airframe and kit products form the skeleton of the model and define how it flies. Centre of gravity, wing loading and material choice directly affect stability, durability and motor-battery compatibility.
Check the parts before assembly and use an adhesive that suits the material (CA, epoxy or hot glue). Keep control-surface hinges free but without slop, and set the centre of gravity to the manual value before the first flight.
After a hard landing, inspect the airframe for cracks and glue-joint failures. Storing it flat and protected from moisture extends the life of balsa and foam airframes.
